My Story

I'm Lenny V. I bought a Bartesian^® 3 years ago because I wanted bar-level drinks in my own home. Like most Bartesian^® owners, I started buying lots of different pods, and that's when I ran into a problem.

When I hosted parties with Bart (yes, I named my machine), I'd spend most of the night walking guests through every pod I had and explaining what each one tasted like. Sometimes they still couldn't find the right pod for their taste. So I built a free menu maker to solve it. Now I show my guests the menu, they take their time finding a cocktail they'll love, and I get to enjoy the party.

When I review a pod, I taste it and tell you what I think. My opinions are my own. That's the deal.

The Community

I'm also a member of several Bartesian^® Facebook groups, and the community shares wonderful tips and tricks for making better Bartesian^® cocktails. Often I'd see something brilliant, like a liquor pairing or a garnish trick, and then lose it as the thread got buried under newer posts. I hope TheCocktailAce becomes a reference point for all the ways to elevate a Bartesian^® cocktail, so new owners can benefit from the wisdom of seasoned Bartesian^® pros.

When you find a great tip in one of my articles credited to another owner, that's the community sharpening my work. I'll keep adding reader updates as more wisdom comes in.

How I Work

A Bit More About Me

I've been married to my childhood sweetheart for 40 years and we have two beautiful kids. I love the beach and I'm a big Jimmy Buffett fan, so margaritas hold a special place in my heart.
