I tasted the Frosted Ambrosia pod on my Bartesian® Premier on the Regular setting with Tito's Vodka. It is one of three new drinks in the 2026 Advent Calendar.
Frosted Ambrosia is one of the most balanced holiday pods I have had from Bartesian. It tastes nutty. It goes down smooth. It held its balance to the last sip. If you do not like nutty drinks, skip it.

Where Does the Frosted Ambrosia Pod Come From?
Frosted Ambrosia is one of three drinks that are new this year and sold only in the 2026 Bartesian® Advent Calendar so far. Frosted Ambrosia was behind door 17 of my calendar. That is the door for December 17. I opened it early to review the new pods. All 12 drinks in the calendar are in my 2026 Bartesian® Advent Calendar guide.
The capsule says Load Vodka. Bartesian's site recommends a lowball glass over ice. For the garnish, it suggests a maraschino cherry, pineapple chunks and mandarin slices.
What Is Ambrosia?
Ambrosia is an old American fruit dessert. The earliest known printed recipe is in Dixie Cookery, an 1867 cookbook by Maria Massey Barringer. It called for layers of orange pulp and fresh grated coconut, lightly sweetened. At the time, oranges and coconuts were costly, so it was a dessert for the well-off. Many later versions add marshmallows and whipped cream.
Bartesian says Frosted Ambrosia was inspired by ambrosia salad. It describes the drink as a sweet holiday dessert cocktail made with vodka, with orange, pineapple, coconut and cherry flavors and a marshmallow finish. I have never had an ambrosia.
How Did I Make It?
I made it on my Bartesian® Premier at the Regular strength with Tito's Vodka. I made the drink into a shaker with ice. Then I poured it into a lowball glass over ice.
I garnished it with three maraschino cherries on a pick, set on top of the glass. I skipped the pineapple and the mandarin. I like to taste a pod on its own and see how it stands up. I did not want the garnish to change the drink. I ate the cherries after I finished, because I just love maraschino cherries.
I don't read Bartesian's descriptions before I taste a drink. I want to get an idea on my own first.
What Does Frosted Ambrosia Taste Like?
My first sip: this is unique. I got a nutty taste right away. The smell was faint. I wondered if it was nutmeg or coconut. The flavor I kept coming back to was amaretto.
With a garnish of cherries, pineapple and orange, I expected a fruitier drink. It is not. It tastes like an amaretto sour without the sour.
On Regular there was no alcohol burn. I could not taste the vodka at all.
The color is a light, bright orange, close to pink grapefruit. It has no shimmer.
After I tasted it, I read Bartesian's description. It lists coconut. I think that is the nutty note I kept calling amaretto.
First Note: Aromatics
Faint. I wondered about nutmeg or coconut.
Second Note: Mid-palate
Nutty, with coconut. Smooth, not sweet, not dry.
Third Note: Finish
Clean. No aftertaste.
As It Sits
The nuttiness fades a little. The finish gets a little drier.
Does It Change as the Ice Melts?
A little. Past the halfway point, the nuttiness faded slightly. The finish turned a little drier. It stayed balanced the whole way down. Then I poured what was left in my shaker into my glass. It held right to the end.
How Does It Compare to Berry & Bright?
Frosted Ambrosia was the second new calendar pod I tasted. Berry & Bright, the first, has shimmer. This one does not.

Which Vodka Should You Use?
I used Tito's. I could not taste the vodka at all on Regular.

When I wrote the guide about owners' favorite underrated pods, the word that kept coming up was balance. Frosted Ambrosia has it. If you'd like to read the guide, it's here.
Final Verdict: 9/10
I am giving Frosted Ambrosia a 9 out of 10 for two reasons. First, the balance: it is not overly sweet and not overly dry. Second, I like a nutty taste in a drink. This brings that. It is also a beautiful drink to look at.
I would not call it just a Christmas drink. I could drink this in the summer, by the pool or at the beach. I would share it with friends and family because of its balance. If Bartesian sells it in its own box, I will buy one.
A 9 is my score. If you prefer sweeter drinks or do not like nutty flavors, this one is not for you.
