How to Make a Free Bartesian^® Cocktail Menu in Four Steps

What is the Bartesian^® Menu Maker?

The Menu Maker is a free tool on TheCocktailAce.com that turns your Bartesian pods into a printed drink menu. It is made by TheCocktailAce.com, not by Bartesian.

I got tired of pulling pods out one at a time to explain what each one tastes like every time somebody came over. Now I print a menu and let people pick.

As of October 2026, the Menu Maker lists 137 drinks. They are filed by spirit: vodka, gin, rum, tequila and whiskey, plus a few drinks that use more than one spirit. Each drink prints with its name and a short description of how it tastes.

The Menu Maker runs in your web browser. The only thing you download is the finished menu.

How do you make a Bartesian^® menu?

The Menu Maker walks you through four steps. A progress bar at the top of the page shows which step you are on.

Step 1: Name your bar

Three boxes sit under "Personalize Your Menu." The first is the menu title, such as your bar name or the name of your party. The second is a subtitle or tagline. The third is for an event date or the host's name.

All three boxes are optional. If you leave the title blank, the menu prints "My Cocktail Menu" across the top.

Step 2: Pick your drinks

The drink list sits under "Available Drinks." Tabs across the top narrow it to one spirit: All Drinks, Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila and Whiskey. A search box finds a drink by name.

Tap the + next to a drink to add it to your menu. The + turns into a check mark. Tap it again to take the drink off. Your picks show up under "My Menu," with a count of how many drinks you have. Each drink there has a Remove button, and Clear Menu starts you over.

Drinks print in the order you add them. To move a drink lower on the menu, remove it and add it again.

There is no limit on how many drinks you can add. A long menu runs onto a second page.

Step 3: Choose a design

Tap "Download My Free Menu (PDF)." A box of designs opens. Scroll to see them all. Tap a design to pick it, and tap it again to see it larger.

If you do not pick a design, your menu prints in Bubbles & Blue.

Step 4: Download and print

Tap "Download PDF Menu." The Menu Maker builds your menu and saves it as a PDF, sized for standard US letter paper. If the designs are still loading, you will see "Preparing your menu…" for a moment.

Print the PDF at home or at a print shop. Each page carries a small "Created by TheCocktailAce.com" line at the bottom.

Which menu designs can you choose?

The design box holds 16 designs in all, but not all at once. Thirteen show all year: 12 menu designs plus the Pod Tracker. Three holiday designs come and go with the calendar, based on the date on your phone or computer.

• Halloween shows from September 15 to October 31.
• Autumn Harvest shows from September 15 to November 30.
• Christmas shows from November 1 to December 31.

That means you will see 13 designs from January 1 to September 14, 15 designs from September 15 to November 30, and 14 designs in December.

The year-round menu designs are Bubbles & Blue, Salvatore Classic, Plain & Simple, Beachy Summer, Elegant Evening, Floral, Eucalyptus, Soirée, Tropical, Pink Stars, Speakeasy and Coastal.

How do you keep track of the pods you own?

Pick the Pod Tracker in the design box. It uses the same four steps, but it prints a plain list instead of a menu. The pods you added are grouped by spirit, with names only and no descriptions. If you leave the title blank, the list prints "My Pod Tracker" across the top.

The third box from Step 1 prints as "Last updated," so you can put a date on the list.

The Pod Tracker is there so you can print a list of the pods you own and stop buying the same one twice.

What should you check before you print?

Match the menu to your Spirit Bottles. Each Bartesian pod tells the machine which spirit to pour, and the machine pours it from the Spirit Bottle. The spirit tabs make it easy to build a menu around the bottles you have filled. For what owners pour, see my guide, Best Liquors for Bartesian Pods.

Check your pod drawer. The Menu Maker's list includes holiday pods and older pods that Bartesian may not be selling right now. Put a drink on the menu only if you have the pod.

Duet owners, leave off the Long Island Collection. Bartesian's site says those pods work only in its four-bottle machines, not the Duet.

Download before you close the page. The Menu Maker does not save your list. If you close or reload the page before you download, your picks are gone.
